Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 Concept Car

The Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 is designed by Stefan Schulze and it will have its first public viewing in November 2008 at the Nardo Ring. Sounds familiar with the name? Stefan Schulze also the designer of the Tribun Concept and the Panthera Concept from a while back. Although his designs of Tribun Concept and Panthera Concept will probably never reach the production line, but the Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 will be built in a limited number. Powered by a GM LS7 V8 engine, the new Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 will develop more than 500 hp standard with an option to take the power up to 1000 hp. These numbers are even more amazing when you take into account the fact that the Scuderia Bizzarrini P538 only weighs 800 kg. Space Efficient Vehicle (SEV) Concept

The Space Efficient Vehicle (SEV) concept was put on display at the Detroit Motor Show after it previously become a finalist in the 2008 Michelin Challenge Design. A team from the Netherlands, who create this Space Efficient Vehicle concept are : Ralph Panhuyzen - The project leader and vehicles inventor Steven van der Veen - visual designer who translated the design into detailed renderings. The main idea behind this SEV concept is to make efficient on the space inside the vehicle. Since most of vehicles normally only may carry just one person, Ralph Panhuyzen make the design of the SEV concept to reflect this fact. Splinter Wood Supercar

The Splinter supercar is the project of some of the students at North Carolina State University. The Splinter supercar is going to be built from wood composites that will be use where ever is possible: body, chassis, and large percentages of the suspension components and wheels. The weight target of the Splinter wood supercar is 2500lbs. The Splinter wood supercars engine is also equipped with Twin Roots-type superchargers, 4 air-to-water intercoolers and is expected to develop 600 hp. The Splinter wood supercar is going to be powered by a Northstar V8 engine with aluminum block and heads, 32V DOHC reverse-flow cylinder heads and 4.6 liter displacement. The VFV (Very Fun Vehicle) concept car is a funky city car concept which uses large glass panels wherever possible in order to increase the sense of space inside the car. The VFV also a concept created by Nuno Teixiera (see also MYBUS concept). Toyota Hi-CT Concept Car

The Toyota Hi-CT is a city car concept which had been revealed at the previous 2007 Tokyo Motor Show. In Toyota’s words the Hi-CT concept is designed to deliver a new “coolness” inspired by “the thinking and lifestyles of youth”. For a small car the styling of the Toyota Hi-CT is chunky and bold. The high sides and short windows exaggerate the truck-like design. At the rear of the Toyota Hi-CT concept there is a removable trunk and a deck where surfboards, bicycles and other equipment can be stowed. Powered by a hybrid drivetrain, the funky Toyota Hi-CT uses a 1.5 liter engine and an electric motor. The under-floor mounted battery can be recharged from the mains. The location of the battery has the effect of raising the drivers position giving better visibility, while also lowering the vehicles center of gravity. Toyota RiN Concept Car

The RiN concept from Toyota is a vehicle which focuses on making the lives of the driver and passengers, and actually everyone around it, more healthy and stress-free. The exterior design of the Toyota RiN is intended to blend into the natural environment. The green glass and organic forms of the headlights, taillights and rear side windows are influenced by a type of tall-growing Japanese tree, the Yakusugi. Access to the Toyota RiN is through sliding doors which feature a lower window pane which allow the the occupants to view nature at ground level. The headlights utilize a light distribution system that take into consideration oncoming pedestrians and vehicles and reduce glare. Veritas RS III Concept Car

The Veritas RS III is a super-sports car from Germany-based Vermot AG. Veritas was founded in 1948 and went on to successfully compete in German Championship races. In 1951 Veritas became the first German team to compete in a Formula 1 Grand Prix. Unfortunately, due to financial problems Veritas closed its doors in 1952. In 2001 the Veritas name was resurrected on the RS3 concept which first appeared as a BMW V12 powered car. The Veritas RS III concept of 2008 is different from the 2001 car several areas. Firstly the new car has a choice of engine, either a 480 horsepower, 5.0 litre, BMW V8 mated to a manual transmission. Or a 600 horsepower BMW V10 with sequential transmission. Webasto LiGHT Concept Car

German sunroof and convertible top manufacturer Webasto has unveiled the Webasto LiGHT concept car. Webasto LiGHT is a two-seat cabriolet designed by IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) in Italy. The Webasto LiGHT’s exterior design was inspired by the Fiat 124 Spider. This influence is most apparent in the rear 3/4 view, as well as the front grille. While overall the design is attractive, but it is similar to most two-seat convertible sports cars. But the real reason for creating the concept was to showcase Webasto’s frameless polyurethane soft-top which is both strong and lightweight. The top also incorporates a heated glass rear window. Zenz Sports Concept Car

This sports concept car was created by Ralf Zenz, a German designer who envisages a world ultra-efficient performance motoring. This Zenz Sports Concept Car will be unveiled at Geneva Motor Show next month, with a full scale model stretching 4.2m and featuring a super slippery drag coefficient of just 0.21Cd. As had been said by Zenz that a production version of the car would consume less than 3.0L of fuel per 100km, but this concept car would be able to reach speeds as high as 230km/h. This can be happened because of the aerodynamic shape of the car, with low 760kg kerb weight and efficient 140hp diesel engine. However, Zenz is working on an even more powerful version that can reach a top speed of 260km/h and remains just as economical.
