GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept Car

 
The GMC Denali XT is a hybrid powered Sport-Utility Truck (SUT) with small and unibody construction. Inspired by car-chassis based pickups, the design and layout of the GMC Denali XT concept is similar with the Chevrolet El Camino. Instead of using the conventional body-on-frame method commonly used for trucks, the GMC Denali XT concept using a unibody construction, manages to remain relatively lightweight (giving better fuel economy) and offer superior handling characteristics. With stiffness that is greater than most conventional, body-on-frame trucks, the Denali XT’s unibody structure supports a very capable truck platform. It also serves as the mounting point for the four-wheel independent suspension that gives the Denali XT its performance feel on the road. Holden Coupe 60 concept has unveiled today by General Motors Holden. The two-door performance concept car has unveiled to celebrate the 60th anniversary of General Motors Holden. The Holden Coupe 60 is powered by a 6.0L V8 engine with Active Fuel Management that also works with E85. The engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Holden Coupe 60 sits on 21-inch center-lock alloy wheels and high performance semi-slick tires. Honda Li Nian concept car has been launched by Guangzhou Honda Automobile as a new brand and concept car for the Chinese market. With the concept of Honda Li Nian, that indicates the direction of the new brand that will begin selling the cars in 2010. The Honda Li Nian brand will develop products that are more specific for the Chinese consumers. According to officials, Li Nian’s (Chinese for ‘subject’) first production car will be based on the sporty hatchback concept, and the concept car will be produced in China. Jeep Renegade Concept Car

 
The Jeep Renegade concept was displayed at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show. The Renegade concept is powered by a new electric drivetrain which Chrysler put in two other concepts shown at Detroit. The system is called ENVI, and in the Renegade concept it comprises of two 268 horsepower electric motors (one on each axle) powered by lithium ion batteries. This is backed up by a Bluetec diesel engine giving a combined mpg of 110 miles when used with the electric motors. Constructed from environmentally responsible materials, sustainability is a key theme of the Jeep Renegade concept. The Hyundai HED-5 i-mode concepts signals the debut of the 2.2-litre R diesel engine with two-stage turbocharging and premieres an unique Swivel Seat concept. The IDEA ERA show car will have its official debut on May 19 and 20 this year at the Automotive News Europe Congress in Turin. The IDEA ERA show car is built by the Italian design institute to celebrate its 30th year of activity. At the moment The IDEA ERA show car is not equipped with an engine yet. The Italdesign Quaranta concept car was designed to celebrate Italdesign Giugiaro’s forty years of business in styling and technological research. The Italdesign Quaranta concept car was inspired by the Bizzarrini Manta concept from 1968. But in reality The Italdesign Quaranta concept has a lot more in common with the Volta concept created by Italdesign for Toyota in 2004. The Quaranta uses a 3.3 litre V6 Toyota engine with Hybrid Synergy Drive to provide 268 horsepower and 212 lb-ft of torque. The innovative aspect of this engine lies in the ability of the electronic control system to regulate the power distributed by the electric motors to the wheels, making the clutch-gearbox-transmission block superfluous. Ken Okuyama Design introduced two new limited production cars at Geneva Motor Show. The concept cars called the K.O 7 and the K.O 8. The K.O 7 becomes the K.O 8 with the roof and fender modules.
